Why "fully booked" is almost never actually fully booked
Airbnb hosts get cancellations for the same reasons anyone does: flights change, weddings get called off, someone's dog eats a sock. In a popular market on a popular weekend, several homes open back up every single day — often within the final 72 hours before check-in.
Problem is, those openings vanish in minutes. By the time you refresh, someone else already booked it. That's the whole reason we exist.
