Airbnbs near Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone has five entrances and each opens into a totally different part of the park — so where you sleep dictates which geysers, canyons, and wildlife loops you can realistically hit before dark. Airbnb options inside the park are almost nonexistent, and the historic lodges book out 12+ months ahead. That leaves the gateway towns: five of them, spanning three states, with wildly different price points. This page maps each entrance to its town, gives real cabin prices, and covers the summer-vs-shoulder trade-offs.

Best neighborhoods to book

West Yellowstone, MT

Busiest and most convenient gateway. Walking distance to the west entrance, most restaurants and gear rentals.

Gardiner, MT

North entrance (year-round). Right on the Yellowstone River, closer to Mammoth Hot Springs.

Cooke City, MT

Northeast entrance. Remote, close to Lamar Valley wildlife. Small inventory.

Cody, WY

East entrance. About 50 miles out but a real town with Buffalo Bill history.

Jackson / Teton Village, WY

South entrance via Grand Teton. Expensive but combines two parks.

Big Sky, MT

1 hour from west entrance. Great for combining Yellowstone with ski-town amenities.
